Hongkong (Page 2) - Tsim Sha Tsui
The Third day, visiting Tsim Sha Tsui area which is similar to the Orchard Road in Singapore. There are many shopping Malls, Delicious Western and Chinese Restaurants, Jewellery Stores, Modern Supermarkets, Convenient Hotels, and Famous Brand Stores like 1881 – Cerruti, Hermes, etc.
The first place that we should visit in Tsim Sha Tsui is The Clock Tower, located near Tsim Sha Tsui Ferries Port and we can continue to the Hongkong Museum of Art & Space. These places are situated near East Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station and from the Salisbury Park, we enter the basement conjunction to Sogo Department Store which becoming our short cut to the Nathan Road.
Curious and excited to see Nathan Road and compare it with the Orchard Road, you can try to walk along. The beginning of Nathan Road, is near the crossroad with Salisbury Road until The Jordan MTR Station. You will find a lot of enjoyments or if you stop by at one of the malls, you can find delicious Vegetarian Restaurants and also Modern BBQ Korean Restaurants. In the Cameron Road, there is a lot of smaller Korean Restaurants and Local Chinese Restaurants which serve delicious fried seafood, warm rice, and Big Glass of Ice Capucinno. |
Co-operation of many Jewellery Stores in Tsim Sha Tsui which sells gold, Silver, Pearls, and Jade Jewellery, have made Nathan Road to have many Scheduled Big Jewellery Exhibitions. During this occasion, many hotels in that road are full booked by foreigners.
After spending morning to evening hours in Tsim Sha Tsui, we visit the Temple Street Night Market nearby. It opens at night only and offers the traditional Chinese Cuisines, Jade Jewellery, Men Wears, Watches, Tea Wares, Antiques, Trinkets, and Fortuneteller service on stalls and shops.
To get to Ladies Market which is also opened during evening time and if you do not want to waste time on walking to go to the site, it’s better to take MTR from Jordan Station and stop at Mongkok Station and out from the gate no E1 then try to find Shan Tung Street. The Ladies Market offers so many things like : |
fashions, pajamas for women and children, bags, wallets, shoes, gifts and women’s accessories in stalls. Besides that, you also can try many local foods from Food Stalls or Chinese Restaurants. If you like, you can try Taro Mochi Ice Creams and fresh fruits like fresh Cherries, fresh Red Plums, fresh Tao fruits, etc, during visiting the local Supermarket or food stalls, They are very delicious. If you have not felt tired, you can continue to visit the Goldfish Market in the Tung Choi Street, the Street Market in the Fa Yuen Street and the Flower Market in the Sai Yee Street.
